Hiwin
The German ball screw factory was established in 1975 to produce precision ball screws for the European market. The high quality of the product contributed to a dynamic increase in sales.
In 1981, Finest Ball Screw was established in Taichung, Taiwan, to produce rolled products and ball screws for the Asian market. HIWIN Technologies Corp was established in 1989 with the acquisition of the two above-mentioned production plants. HIWIN is considered the first company in the world capable of producing the highest class of accuracy recognized by the ISO and DIN systems. Also currently only a small number of companies have the ability to perform the highest accuracy class - grade 0 on the JIS scale (0.0035 mm/300 mm).
HIWIN also produces JIS cylindrical ball screw gears of class 5 (0.018/300 mm) tolerance. HIWIN includes six production plants in Taiwan and one in Germany. HIWIN supplies components to many cutting-edge industries and key industrial sectors, including medical equipment, vending machines, material handling and automotive.
